The history of the Five Indian Nations of Canada, : which are dependent on the province of New-York in America, and are the barrier between the English and French in that part of the world. With accounts of their religion, manners, customs, laws, and forms of government: their several battles and treaties with the European Nations; particular relations of their several wars with the other Indians; and a true account of the present state of our trade with them. In which are shewn the great advantage of their trade and alliance to the British nation, and the intrigues and attempts of the French to engage them from us; a subject nearly concerning all our American plantations, and highly meriting the consideration of the British nation at this juncture.

"A treaty held at the town of Lancaster, in Pennsylvania, by the honourable the lieutenant-governor of the province, and the honourable the commissioners for the provinces of Virginia and Maryland, with the Indians of the Six nations, in June, 1744, p. [87]-152, 6th group, has divisional title page
"A treaty between his Excellency the honourable George Clinton, captain-general and governor in chief of the province of New-York, and the territories thereon depending in America, vice-admiral of the same, and vice-admiral of the red squadron of His Majesty's fleet. And the Six united Indian nations, and other Indian nations depending on the province of New-York. Held at Albany in the months of August and September, 1746", p. "A collection of charters and other publick acts, relating to the province of Pennsylvania", p. [197]-283, 6th group, has divisional title page
"A vocabulary of some words and names used by the French authors, which are not generally understood by the English that understand the French language, and may therefore be useful to those that intend to read the French accounts, or compare them with the accounts now published", p. xv-xvi, printed in parallel columns, gives the names used by the French for the tribes of the Five Nations compared to the names used by the English or the Five Nations tribes, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy including the old Five Nations of New York, the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca peoples. The Six Nations included the tribe of the Tuscaroras in North Carolina
